Thank you for your fabulous hospitality during my one month stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of Suite Melon, the facilities of the lounge and the luxurious dips in your beautiful indoor pool. Your attention to detail made coming "home" a treat and was so much more pleasant than a regular hotel. I have already and will continue to recommend Colonial Creekside to others. Best regards, S.M., New Waterloo resident from Caledonia, ON

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing long weekend getaway with the following criteria: within a 2 hour drive from 'the city', leisurely activities within the community and overall relaxation.
We were greeted at the door with a warm welcome, provided with cozy slippers and taken on a quick tour through this thoughtfully and extensively renovated home. At every turn, there were quizzical and charming little factoids to be learned..... from the Frank Lloyd Wright replica design windows and front hall tile....to exquisite antiques and fine art pieces. They all had their own little story; all impressive and inspiring without being pretentious.
Our particular room (Suite [sweet!] Cherry) was absolutely impeccable and immaculate. The furnishings and decor were elegant and very comfortable. A lovely welcoming basket awaited us with some goodies which we nibbled on throughout our stay. Fresh plush robes hung in the closets; always a nice touch.
Individualized breakfast menus allowed us to make numerous selections; very generous portions were left for us in the guest lounge in a personalized breakfast basket each morning. We also helped ourselves to coffee and a variety of teas. Our secluded and well furnished balcony overlooked the grounds and was the perfect spot to enjoy our breakfast and watch cardinals race back and forth from tree to tree. Private breakfast tables in each suite were noted as a nice dining feature as well.
The geothermally heated indoor pool was indeed a bonus. We had not anticipated spending as much time as we did swimming but with the sound system on and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the greenery, it was impossible to resist.
We highly recommend Colonial Creekside Grand Guest House for business and leisure travellers alike; it can be as private an experience as you wish.
Every element at Colonial Creekside reflects what heart and soul can create. We felt right at home with our very delightful and thoughtful hosts and cannot wait to return.

I just wanted to reiterate how nice my stay was at your wonderfully tranquil guest house. Your hospitality was exceptional and you really helped me and made me feel at home. I don’t think I had ever had a nice, relaxing swim under the moonlight; it shone in so crisply through the pool room windows........ I think of it and makes me want to go back. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the farmer’s market on my last day, so there’s another excuse to visit again. I loved St. Jacobs and its little shops. The restaurants you suggested for dinner were really good. Your place was perfectly arranged, but what made my stay that much better was your wonderful service and details. By the way, I took my breakfast basket name tag as a souvenir, it was really cute. Anyway, I have to find the time to go back, hopefully soon. Thanks again for everything.
